Yesterday, a teacher from the School for the Visually Impaired, Lise Reagan, visited our classroom to teach us about visual impairments and how to help our friends with visual impairments. As a part of this children were able to wear special goggles that gave them a "visual impairment" and then were asked to perform different tasks. WOW! What a powerful activity. BE sure to ask your children what they noticed, learned and how they can be helpful to people with visual impairments.

Wonderful activities! Most of them contribute to the development of kids’ perception. I personally think this could help them out when they get older and continue their studies in middle and high schools. After all, reading and writing exercises are directly related to how you perceive the information. Many kids unfortunately have big problems with that, although they could always turn to Essay Lab from United Kingdom. And yet, I would personally recommend to take care of this in their early childhood.
