Busy busy in Room 8!

Hello Room 8 families!

First, I want to apologize for not getting homework out to kids on time today. It ended up being a end-of-day rush and I managed to hand out homework to most of the kids before dismissal, but I'm sure I missed a few! A couple of details on homework:
There is only math homework for this week
There will be no new spelling this week
Please return the homework by Friday if possible
This week is JAM-PACKED at school, so I can imagine that everyone is busy at home as well! I just want to remind you all that homework is always additional support for your child and a way for me to keep you consistently updated on what we are working on in school. I fully believe that we work extremely hard during our school day and that the first priority for time after school should be to spend time outdoors, playing, engaged in conversation, creativity and being kids! With that said, please feel free to send in homework at the end of the week even if you were unable to complete it all --some practice is better than none :)

Today we had a wonderful 4 Winds Science workshop! Ask your child all about Willy the Water Drop!

Wednesday will be our dress rehearsal for "Hats" and our big performance from 6:30-7:30 at the Colchester High School! We are all very excited and have worked so hard! You are going to be just blown away by your child's performance!

Thursday we will have Tom Messner from News Channel 5 visit all of the first grades as an extension to the weather science unit from last trimester.

Wow...lots to report on this week! As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments at any time! Thank you for your continued support at home!

Best,
Courtney
